The “eating kakis” revisited Dim Sum Station @ Promenade, Bayan Baru.
It was our third visit! Many thanks to Phillip Tan, the owner who invited
us. As there were 8 of us, we could sample a greater variety of dim sum
and dishes.
Firstly, the fried dry hor fun with seafood was very well received. The hor
fun was thoroughly fried and it came with the must-have “wok hei”
fragrance. The seafood hor fun with egg sauce did not disappoint either!
As for the dim sums and side dishes, the deep fried bean curd with prawns
was crispy, fluffy and flavourful. Double thumbs up! The other standout dim
sum dishes were golden salted egg chicken, char siew so, fried fish slices
with pepper sauce and the eggplant stir fry in chilli bean sauce.
Dim sum goers like to spend a lot of time at an eatery as it allows them to
chit chat and “yumcha” (thanks Vincent for the longjing tea) while tasting all
kind of different dishes.
Dim sum station provides that conducive
atmosphere. And the induction heater to keep the dishes warm is really an
added bonus. More visits to come!
