As with previous get-togethers at Vincent’s Place, we were greeted with sio bak and wine as appetisers. The succulent and cracklin’ skin roast pork belly was “as good as it gets”. A signature Vincento!
We started the feast with "birthday noodles", wonderfully done with a dose of spicy sambal. The nasi lemak feast soon followed. The green banana leaves on the table set the mood for a sumptuous treat. Delicious nasi lemak with an Indonesian touch by Cewie. Daughter Chiu Ling dished out a tasty fish ball soup. We were spoilt for choice with a host of appetizing dishes. The ayam goreng kalasan and rendang daging babi were indeed standouts. Three thumbs up!
The eating kakis had good company with John and Beng Chooi joining in the fun. And not forgetting, “Happy Birthday Chiu Yee!!”
