26/6/2018 - Guan Hiang Biscuit Shop

Our Eating Kakis decided to venture out of the island for our next makan trip set for Tuesday, 26 June 2018. We set out in two cars and proceeded to Parit Buntar via the Sultan Abdul Halim Bridge. About half an hour later we found ourselves at the door steps of the famous Guan Hiang Biscuit Shop located at Jalan Enggang, Pekan Baru. 

The aroma of the fresh and fragrant biscuits filled the shop as we sampled small cuts of the crispy hneoh peah. 

 

We did not leave the shop empty handed. See what we bought! Was the van for sale?

We then headed to Bagan Samak, famous for its fresh riverine seafood. We had tried Sloam Mit Thai (0194140656, closed on Wednesday) before and found it reasonably priced and more importantly tasty.
