26/6/2018 - Restaurant Sloam Mit Thai

On the morning 26/6/2018, we were at the Guan Hiang Biscuit Shop located at Jalan Enggang, Pekan Baru. We then headed to Bagan Samak, famous for its fresh riverine seafood. We had tried Sloam Mit Thai (0194140656, closed on Wednesday) before and found it reasonably priced and more importantly tasty.

So we decided to book a room for easy and casual conversation.

The 8 dishes we ordered include their signature steamed marble goby (Soon Hock) in soy sauce, deep fried Angcho (fish), thick gravy king prawns, kampong chicken, deep fried mantis prawns and vegetables.

All of us agreed that the fried tang hoon, thick gravy prawns and mantis prawns were way up to the mark. It was a satisfying lunch and the price of RM40 per person for a table full of delicious dishes meant that we will be back in the near future! The seafood haven of Bagan Samak can be accessed by the North South Highway (Exit Bandar Baru).
