22/10/2019 - Dragon Noodles @ Solaria Square

Once again we had to forgo the elusive medd udang at Pak Tam’s in Teluk Kumbar. Pak Tam was closed again, this time due to water works repair! Our replacement this time was Dragon Noodles.
Dragon Noodles @ Solaria Square has a simple décor catering for the young working population in Bayan Baru.

We opted for the bearded noodles (very fine noodles like mee sua) and the la mian noodles. You get to choose one of three packages: RM10.90, RM12.90 and RM14.90 bowl packages. Each RM14.90 package came with a choice of 4 from a list of 33 ingredients. They included vegetables, fish balls, mushrooms, fish fillet and braised beef. Fried fuchok and pork dumplings seemed to be the crowd favourite. They charged an additional RM3 for each additional topping. In addition, there were five types of soups to choose, from their signature milky soup to the spicy Szechuan version (mala). There were other side dishes besides the additional toppings. We ordered their fried rice, lor bak and fried wanton.

This new restaurant is drawing in the crowds. Food wise, it is okay but not exceptional. More of an office lunch hour stop over. Easy parking and reasonable pricing.
